WHO is this for?
This is for any student (ages 13-21) who is interested in learning all about photography.
WHAT will you learn?
Anything you want! This is for you. We will cover camera and lighting equipment, photography “jargon”, metering properly and shooting skills. I will also walk you through an introduction to post processing (editing) with my own images. You will be able to ask me any questions and discuss anything about photography and the industry.
WHERE is it?
We will work together in my home studio/office. This way we will have access to all of my equipment, editing software, examples, etc.
WHY is this the right course for my child? WHY is this the right course for me?
I am an education major so teaching is my forte! I taught for 5 years and I know how to work with all types of learners- visual, auditory, etc. I will be able to explain everything in a simple yet sophisticated manner. I will tailor each mentoring session to suit your (your child’s) age.
HOW long is the session?
The session will last 2 hours. This will give us a sufficient amount of time to cover all of the basics as well as answer any and all questions.
The mentoring will NOT end with our in-person session though. Feel free to e-mail me at any time! I am here to help! I want to watch you grow as a photographer. Come back to me at any time for support.
WHAT is this going to cost?
One-on-one session: $200
Two-on-one (bring a friend!): $175/student
Want to UPGRADE?
For an additional $100 you can shadow me on an actual photo shoot of your choice once we have completed our 1:1 mentoring session. I will provide you with a DSLR camera so you can get the full experience. After the shoot we will choose your best 3 images to edit. Using the techniques learned in our initial mentoring session, you will be able to edit these images and I will provide feedback.
WHAT is your cancellation policy?
Payment is due in full at the time of booking. If you need to cancel, then I would be happy to reschedule you 1 time at no additional charge.
